The art of the homemade gelato

Our Philosophy

Defined as ‘Ice Cream Philosophers‘, over the years we have created a new emotional experience: a union between the techniques studied and refined as an adult and the childhood emotions that ice cream can offer.

With the daily creation of different flavours and the use of seasonal raw materials, we give life to a revolution for the palate, unique at every tasting.

Less is more

The quality behind our process

Our recipes are born by subtraction, eliminating all that is too much to have a homemade gelato based on quality, such as additives or superfluous sugars. The ice cream maker is vertical, more delicate than the horizontal one, to increase less air, offering a substantial and compact ice cream.

Our care for the planet in every detail

Not only the ice cream, but also the shop is based on our principle of simplicity. The interior is small and minimal, and there is only one protagonist on the scene: our ice cream, served in compostable cups and waffle cones, even gluten-free.

With our 30 flavours, we like to experiment and surprise you every day. We personally select the raw materials, relying on local producers for seasonal ingredients. You will be spoiled for choice, you just have to try them all!

An ice cream conceived in reverse, as the name implies, starting from the raw material, the daily intuition of the master ice cream maker Marco Radicioni, and the positive emotions of the customers. Needless to talk about it, come and try it to enjoy every taste.

Loja pequena e um pouco escondida, mas como estávamos em Roma, fazíamos questão de provar vários gelados diferentes. Achamos muito cremoso e gostoso, mas não é o melhor sorvete de Roma, e até acho também que não é o melhor custo x benefício, já que não é tão bem servido assim. Valeu a experiência, mas esperava mais!

While in Rome, this became our nightly ritual: Walk around the city, find an amazing place to eat, and then stroll over to Otaleg for some transcendent gelato. It's tiny, there's a queue, but it's worth the crowd and the wait. The pistachio is particularly amazing. Side note: don't let the website pictures fool you - it's not moody or broody in there at all, it's super pleasant and cheerful. Go and enjoy!
